This longitudinal movement is called creeping. Creeping generally occurs in the section of double-track railway lines and single-track railways, where heavy-loaded vehicles are guided on ramps and parked and braked.

Rules for applying rail anchors

How to install rail anchors? There are general rules for applying rail anchors:
Rail anchors should be placed on the gauge side of the rail base against the same sleeper face of the opposite rail.
The rail anchor should hold the rail base tight and securely and have full bearing against the sleeper face.
If the bearing of the rail anchor against the sleeper is disturbed, a new rail anchor and sleeper are required.
Rail anchors cannot be moved by driving them along the steel rail.
The sleeper must be kept straight when applying the anchor.
