For this steel building with vented side cladding, the requirement was to carry out the build over several years. The building has been extended twice since the first 5 bays were built.

The Concept
The steel building had to be dug into the bank and then concrete panels were used to retain the neighbouring field.

Another requirement was that the building would be multipurpose and while mainly used as straw storage, could also be used for cattle and farm machinery.

The Solution
The vented side sheets were used to allow ventilation through the building for the straw storage and the cattle. The view from the village which stands on the hill above, also benefits aesthetically.
